NOTD

Hello Lovelies. Have you switched your grey nails for brighter summer colours or are we all still hooked on greige? I decided it was time to brighten up my nails and went for 3 coats of Barry M in shade 136 Tangerine and then I added these cute little nail stickers by Elegant Touch which I picked up at the weekend. What do you think? The stickers are so easy to use and, once the top coat has been applied, stay on perfectly.

A little Primark haul ♥

Hello followers, hope you've all eased into Monday without too much hassle! Work was rather dull today but hopefully it'll pick up tomorrow and, if not, I'll be going to see The Boyfriend after work for cuddles on the sofa!

Moving on, I thought I'd show you a few bits I picked up from Primark over the weekend. I had a tiny bit of cash and hit Primark as I hadn't been there in ages and it always makes your pennies stretch.

So, first off in the top left is the gold plaited bangle. I figured I don't have enough bangles and needed some more costume pieces to jazz up my outfits for work, this is especially fab as it goes with the whole nude and peach tones I've been wearing a lot of lately. Think it was £2.

Next is the leaf detail bracelet which snaps shut. This was in the sale reduced to a mere quid!

Then we have the gold and purple stone ring. I have a lot of rings from Primark, mainly because they manage to fit my long fingers perfectly and this one will go with a lot- fab for £1.50.

Just down from the ring are these drape style gold earrings. Can you see how they're slightly broken? I didn't realise but, oh well, what can you expect from Primark? Again, these were £1.50.

Then we have this gorgeous floral scarf which is perfect for summer, so lightweight and has a pretty watercolour style pattern to it. I paid £3 for this and wore it with a sheer peach top and black tuxedo trousers for work today.

And, finally, the piece you're probably loving the most- Primark's version of the Mulberry Alexa bag! I nearly died when I saw this, it's gorgeous! It cost only £9, is big enough for my Macbook and magazines and, well, it saves me the £800 cost for the real thing!

Have you bought anything fab in Primark lately?

My unusual style icon.

Sometimes in life we find certain celebs downright fascinating and no matter what anyone else says, we'll always heart their style. Whether it be Lady Gaga, Madonna or Aggy D, we all have someone who is a little Marmite love/hate like. And I'm going to introduce you to mine.

The boy and I were/are big fans of Big Brother and I'm kinda enjoying this year but not as much as other years gone by. There have been some vile outfits and looks gone on in Big Brother over the years (Kinga wearing just leaves springs to mind!) but this lady actually really works it, if you ask me. Famous for her "You better know yourself!" catchphrase, I was gutted when Snog, Marry, Avoid turned her from glam pussycat into a slightly more plain looking average girl.

To me, Aisleyne just rocks her style no matter what! The BB beauty always wears her looks with confidence and her make-up is always impeccable! OK, so her clothing style might not be for everyone but she teaches all us ladies a key lesson to working any look- work it with a smile and stack loads of attitude. All hail Princess Aisleeeeeeeeeeeeyne!

Friday Wish List

What do you lovely people have planned for the weekend? I'm going to spend it totally chilling out before I start my new job on Monday. My flatmates are moving out of our place on Sunday so I'll be helping them and feeling really sad that the end has come (boo!)

I've made a Friday wish list- what do you think? What are you wanting to spend your weekend pennies on?
Top Row:
Cina White Nail Art Pen- I really want a white nail art pen so I can create beautiful polkadot fingernails!
Essie Nail Corrector Pen- To neaten up those silly nail paint mistakes!
Creme de la Mer Treatment Creme Foundation SPF 15- Bound to be shockingly expensive but I dare bet it's beautiful too.
Cocoa Butter Cream Body Scrub- I adore anything coconut-y from The Body Shop.
Liz Earle Cleanser- I'd read so, so, so many good reviews about the Liz Earle stuff that I'm dying to give it a go.

Middle Row:
China Glaze Nail Paints- As with Liz Earle, I don't own anything by China Glaze but these colours look too gorgeous not to try.
Betsey Johnson stud earrings- Who doesn't love a bit of Betsey Johnson? And these bows are too cute for words!

Bottom Row:
Louis Vitton Sarah Wallet- I'm going through a MAJOR Louis Vitton crush right now.
Asos Leopard Print Watch- I love chunky watches and this leopard one is tacky and loud to the extreme!
Fiorucci watch- Loving the quirky pin-up girl and the polkadot strap.
Miss Selfridge spotty bag- So cute and so perfect with floral print dresses.

So there we have it. Shame I don't get paid until the end of the month, eh?

NOTD

Forgive me for not the best application ever, this is my first time with these little stick on gems. My lovely mum picked them up for me in a 99p store- such a bargain! You get 300 gems, 2 wooden sticks to put them in place and a top coat. I thought I'd go super simple with just one heart on each hand.

The paint I've used is Lemon Meringue by the wonderful Models Own. This took 3 coats to be fully opaque but I know a lot of their other colours only need 1 coat.

Although my nails are nothing spectacular, they're really making me smile right now!

Dressing for the office.

I start my new summer job in marketing on Monday and we have to dress quite smart. Being a student tends to mean jeans most days so I need to sharpen up my act! I am allowed to wear smart dresses and leggings (thank god!) but I also need a little more inspiration when it comes to skirts and trousers etc. After grilling my boss like only a fashion student can, he told me I can happily get away with colour and don't have to stick with greys. I've bought some smart/dull black trousers and have some pretty blouses to go with them but I've made some moodboards to really help me get in the office frame of mind.

What do you wear for the office? Any hints and tips?

My first MAC lipstick

I'm pretty much a MAC virgin, all I owned was a liquid liner which went missing ages ago. However, my lovely friend Jessica was a doll and spoilt me and sent me my first ever MAC lipstick

Thank you Jessica!

I've had my eye on a lot of the satin finish lipsticks but I really wanted to try snob. I normally go for quite bright lipsticks and glosses but I'm really enjoying testing out some lighter shades. When I first applied snob I thought I disliked it- it's a really strong colour that only needs to be applied lightly. I applied it again today and now I'm in love with it, it makes my lips feel really soft and gives off that perfect bubblegum pink colour which I love.

I think next on my list to try is sweetie.

Do you own any MAC lipsticks? Which ones are your favourites?
